The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) unit of Sirsa police has arrested a notorious gangster from Punjab, recovering an illegal weapon from his possession. Authorities suspect the accused had arrived in Sirsa with the intent to commit a criminal act but was apprehended before he could execute his plan.

Arrest Details

The accused has been identified as Gaurav Sharma, alias Goru Bacha, a resident of Ludhiana. According to police, he had been evading arrest for an extended period, frequently changing his location to avoid capture. Acting on a tip-off about his presence in Sirsa, law enforcement launched an operation and arrested him near a petrol pump close to the Sirsa grain market on Monday night.

Investigators stated that no direct link has been established between the accused and any criminal case registered in Sirsa so far. However, interrogations are ongoing to determine the purpose of his visit, whether he had local contacts, or if he was planning any illegal activity.
