Satinder Singh officially took over as the Commissioner of Police (CP) for Jalandhar on Saturday, marking his return to the city after a gap of nearly four years. He had previously served as Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural) in Jalandhar in 2022.
Ceremonial Assumption of Office
Singh arrived at his new office around noon and was warmly received by Deputy Commissioner of Police Manpreet Dhillon, along with all officials holding the ranks of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) currently posted with the city police force.
Distinguished Career and Honors
A recipient of the prestigious President's Police Medal, Singh was promoted to the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2010. Prior to his current posting, he was serving as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Ludhiana Range. His return to Jalandhar is seen as a strategic move to bolster the city's law enforcement leadership.
