Initial Attack on Friday

According to Sendhwa City police, the conflict began on Friday in the Devjhiri locality of Jogwada Road. Five armed men allegedly attacked the house of Abdul Karim using baseball bats and knives. Six people sustained injuries in this initial assault.

Police registered cross-First Information Reports (FIRs) on Friday night based on complaints lodged by Sikandar and Shah Rukh, naming a total of nine individuals. The complaints detailed the involvement of both sides in the altercation.

Renewed Violence on Saturday

The situation escalated again on Saturday afternoon after namaz prayers at a local mosque. Members of one group allegedly attacked four individuals from another group with swords, leaving them injured. Police registered a case against Shah Rukh and three others for attempt to murder based on the complaint of the injured parties.

By Saturday evening, three cases had been registered against 13 individuals in connection with the clashes. Seven accused were arrested, and efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects are ongoing.

Police Response and Precautionary Measures

As a precautionary measure, additional police personnel were deployed in the Jogwada Road area to maintain law and order. The police have urged residents to remain calm and assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in the violence.

The exact cause of the initial children dispute has not been disclosed, but authorities are investigating the matter. The injured are receiving medical treatment, and their conditions are reported to be stable.
