Singur Migrant Labourer Allegedly Killed in Uttar Pradesh

Saidullah Sheikh, a 38-year-old resident of Payraura village, faced a tragic end in Uttar Pradesh. His family members made shocking allegations on Friday. They claim he was attacked and killed on January 13.

Details of the Incident

Sheikh worked as a migrant labourer in Sharafa Market, located in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh. He and his wife had received notices to appear for SIR hearings on January 17 and January 20 respectively.

On January 13, Sheikh dropped his wife and their three-year-old son at the station around 3 pm. They boarded a train home. After that, something terrible happened.

Investigation Underway

Liton Mallik, a social worker in Auraiya, is coordinating with the family. He stated that Sheikh was murdered sometime after dropping his family at the station. Mallik confirmed that police are investigating the case.

A post-mortem examination was conducted under the supervision of Auraiya police on January 14. His body finally reached his home in Gopal Nagar on Thursday.

Police Response

Hooghly Rural SP Kamanashis Sen provided an update. He said, "The UP police has started to investigate." Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding Sheikh's death.

The family awaits justice as the investigation continues. They hope for a swift resolution to this heartbreaking incident.
