Husband refutes allegations in techie's death

Somayajula Sricharan, the husband of techie Parupudi Radha Gayatri (27), has denied any involvement in her death, which occurred under suspicious circumstances at a homestay in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. He stated that the postmortem report would clarify the exact cause of death.

Background of the couple

Radha Gayatri was found dead on June 15 at a homestay on the Mussoorie-Dhanaulti road. She was on vacation with Sricharan, who is also a techie. The couple had their engagement in October 2025 and married a month later. Sricharan acknowledged that they had ego clashes, which he described as common in marriages. They lived separately after marriage, with him working in Pune and her staying in Hyderabad for a time.

Allegations by parents

Gayatri's parents alleged that Sricharan placed a tracking device in her bag without her knowledge, which was discovered during a security check at her office. Sricharan said he was unaware of any tracker. He also confirmed that they both consumed red wine during their stay in Mussoorie, noting that the high-altitude location could have contributed to health issues for Gayatri.

“Ego clashes are a natural and common part of any marriage. There were some ego issues in our life too as we were living separately after marriage. I was working in Pune while she stayed in Hyderabad for some time,” Sricharan added. He said Gayatri moved to his parents' home in Delhi after the wedding and secured a job in Gurgaon soon after. “We had sorted out the misunderstandings, and had gone to Mussoorie before our planned visit to her home in Vizag later in the week,” he explained.

Investigation ongoing

Sricharan refrained from commenting on the allegations, citing the family's grief. He emphasized that the postmortem report would reveal the truth. The case remains under investigation by local authorities.
