Tragic Bus Accident Claims Life of 14-Year-Old Boy in Firozabad
A devastating incident unfolded in Ramgarh, Firozabad, on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old boy. The tragedy occurred around 4 pm when the victim, Mohammad Kaif, was leaning out of a moving bus carrying wedding guests. His neck was fatally cut by a protruding tin shed from a roadside shop, leading to immediate death at the scene.
Details of the Fatal Incident
The accident took place on Akashvani Road, a narrow stretch where the bus was navigating through the area. According to police reports, the bus was being driven recklessly at the time. Kaif, who had accompanied his father, Rahat Khan, from Kaudiyaganj in Aligarh to attend a neighbour's wedding, leaned out of the left-side window. As the vehicle passed by a shop, a sharp tin shed struck his neck, causing severe and fatal injuries.
The driver of the bus abandoned the vehicle immediately after the incident and fled from the location. Police from the Ramgarh station quickly responded, reaching the site to seize the bus and initiate an investigation. The accident cast a dark shadow over the wedding celebrations, turning a joyous occasion into one of mourning.
Legal Actions and Aftermath
Ramgarh SHO Sanjeev Dubey confirmed that a case has been registered under BNS Section 106, which pertains to death caused by negligent driving. The driver remains absconding, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend him. The body of Mohammad Kaif was handed over to his family on Thursday following the completion of the postmortem examination.
This incident highlights critical safety concerns regarding reckless driving and hazardous roadside structures in urban areas. Authorities are urging increased vigilance and adherence to traffic regulations to prevent such tragedies in the future.
