A daring theft at the home of Judicial Magistrate Amit Bakshi in Ludhiana's BRS Nagar has exposed gaps in the city's security apparatus. The incident, which occurred while the magistrate was on leave, has left law enforcement scrambling for answers.

According to a complaint filed by ASI Jaswinder Pal, the magistrate's gunman, the judge left Ludhiana on station leave on June 27. The following day, after receiving a call from the magistrate, Jaswinder Pal visited the residence in BRS Nagar's C-Block and found the house ransacked. He immediately reported the matter to the Sarabha Nagar police station.

Stolen Items and Investigation

The SHO of Sarabha Nagar police station confirmed that a bicycle worth around Rs 40,000, silver articles, and cash were stolen from the house. "We are examining CCTV footage from the area and hope to identify and arrest the accused soon," the SHO said. The police have launched an investigation and are reviewing footage from nearby cameras.
