Three Shooting Incidents Rock Delhi Within Hours of Gang Crackdown Conclusion

Delhi witnessed a disturbing series of violent incidents late Monday night and early Tuesday morning. Police confirmed three separate firing incidents occurred in different parts of the city within just three hours. This surge in violence came immediately after Operation Gang Bust 2026 concluded on Sunday. The police operation had specifically targeted gangsters operating across Delhi and the National Capital Region.

First Shooting in Paschim Vihar

The first incident unfolded around 11 pm on Monday in Outer Delhi's Paschim Vihar area. According to police reports, two men riding a motorcycle opened fire outside a local gymnasium. The shooters drove past R K Fitness on Outer Ring Road. One of the individuals fired two shots toward the establishment. Fortunately, no injuries resulted from this attack.

Hours after this shooting, a Facebook post appeared from an account named Randeep Malik. The post claimed responsibility for the Paschim Vihar incident. Police officers stated they are currently verifying the authenticity of this social media claim. However, authorities have already registered a formal case regarding the shooting.

The Facebook message contained alarming threats. It claimed that Randeep and another individual named Anil Pandit, both allegedly based in the United States, orchestrated the attack. The post accused the gym owner of ignoring their phone calls. It included a chilling warning in Hindi, threatening to eliminate the owner if he continued to avoid their calls, referencing the fate of Nadir Shah.

Connection to Gang Rivalries

The social media post made several significant declarations. It stated that enemies of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi would remain enemies. The message also mentioned names of members from other criminal gangs, including Hashim Baba, Kala Rana, and Jitenderr Gogi. This suggests possible inter-gang tensions or alliances.

Nadir Shah, referenced in the threat, was himself killed outside his gym in Greater Kailash back in September 2024. Following that murder, police arrested more than a dozen individuals believed to be members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Second Shooting in West Vinod Nagar

Police suspect the same shooters involved in the Paschim Vihar incident also targeted a property dealer in East Delhi's West Vinod Nagar. Authorities noted that the motorcycle used and the physical appearance of the assailants matched in CCTV footage from both locations. A senior police officer indicated that the handlers for both attacks might be identical.

In this second incident, the accused fired four rounds outside the property dealer's residence before fleeing. Shortly after the shooting, the property dealer reportedly received a threatening voice note on his mobile phone. The call came from an international number and warned that he would be targeted next.

Police revealed this wasn't the first threat this individual received. In September last year, the property dealer got a similar threatening message. That message demanded five crore rupees and claimed to come from a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Investigators currently suspect both shootings were planned by Randeep and Anil, who are believed to be operating from the United States.

Third Incident in Safdarjung Enclave

The third firing incident occurred around 1 am on Tuesday in Southwest Delhi's Safdarjung Enclave. Police reported an unknown person fired shots outside an electrician's residence before escaping on a motorcycle. Preliminary investigations suggest this incident does not appear connected to the other two shootings in Paschim Vihar and West Vinod Nagar.

Key Figures in Jail

Lawrence Bishnoi remains a central figure in this criminal landscape. He faces charges in multiple high-profile cases, including the murder of Punjabi singer Siddhu Moosewala. Bishnoi is also accused in cases involving threats and firing incidents outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence. He is currently lodged in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail.

Other mentioned gang members, Hashim Baba and Kala Rana, are imprisoned in Delhi's Tihar Jail. Their incarceration hasn't completely halted the criminal activities associated with their networks.

The rapid succession of these violent incidents has raised serious concerns about gang activity in Delhi. Police continue their investigations into all three shootings while working to verify the social media claims and international connections suggested in the threats.
