He stated that the one-year-old baby, identified as Jayashree, was kidnapped near her house in Chinthalachenu, a locality near Tirupati, on January 21. Following a formal complaint lodged by the parents, the police promptly registered a case and formed special teams dedicated to rescuing the baby. The investigation revealed a disturbing trail, indicating that the baby girl had been kidnapped and subsequently sold to a couple residing near Erode. The accused individuals were identified as Mariyamma, Kandhan, Chandramma, Chinna Kannan, Jayapal Raja, and Aniyamman.
