Rourkela: Two youths were arrested in Sundargarh district on Sunday for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl, police said. The survivor had visited her relative's home in the district on May 28. According to a police officer, the survivor and another girl were outside the house late at night when two local men assaulted them. While one girl managed to escape, the other was taken to a secluded spot and sexually abused by both accused.
The accused allegedly threatened the survivor not to disclose the incident. She later returned to the house and informed her cousin, who then told her sister and brother-in-law. The survivor's mother lodged a First Information Report (FIR) on Saturday. Police registered a gang-rape case and began an investigation.

The first accused, aged 25, was arrested on Sunday. The second accused, aged 19, who had allegedly fled, was later arrested in Deogarh district on the same day. Medical tests of the survivor and the accused have been conducted as part of the ongoing investigation.
