The dog sustained bullet injuries on its ear and chest, necessitating immediate medical attention. The injured animal was rushed to a veterinary hospital for treatment, while the accused fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

Ahraula police station in-charge Amit Kumar Mishra confirmed that based on Hriday Narayan Shukla's complaint, a named FIR has been registered against Deepak Chaubey and Vivek Chaubey. The charges include serious sections under the BNS:
- Section 109(1) for attempt to murder, reflecting the gravity of the act.
- Section 351(3) for criminal intimidation, highlighting the threatening behavior involved.
