Details of the Victims
The injured have been identified as Virendra, 24, and Mukesh, 25. Virendra reported that he was having dinner around 11 pm when an unidentified individual fired a country-made pistol, striking his hand. Mukesh also suffered a gunshot wound to his hand during the same incident. Both victims were immediately attended to by other attendees, and local authorities were notified.
Sequence of Events
Witnesses stated that two shots were fired from a country-made pistol, causing panic and chaos among the guests. The sudden gunfire disrupted the peaceful ceremony, and many attendees fled the scene in fear. Upon receiving information, a police team from Amritpur police station arrived at the location and began an investigation.
Police Response and Investigation
Darshan Singh Solanki, the in-charge of Amritpur police station, confirmed the injuries and stated that one victim is currently receiving treatment at Lohia Hospital, while the other is undergoing a medical examination. Solanki added that no formal written complaint has been filed yet, and the investigation is ongoing. He emphasized that further legal action will be determined after a written complaint is received and the probe is completed.
The police are now searching for the individual who fired the weapon and are collecting evidence from the scene. Local residents have been urged to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation.
