BJP Lauds 'Historic' Kartavya Budget 2026 as Pathway to Viksit Bharat

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has hailed the 2026-27 'Kartavya Budget' as a historic document, asserting its sole aim is to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Among the first to speak from the Treasury Benches, BJP Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi emphasized that the budget is framed around three core duties: accelerating and sustaining economic growth, fulfilling the aspirations of the people while building their capacities, and aligning with the objective of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas.

Sarangi described the budget as not merely a collection of numbers but a milestone in India's journey towards economic stability, reform, and shared confidence. She highlighted its role as a blueprint for national development, reinforcing the government's commitment to inclusive progress.

Karnataka Recognized as a Core Engine of India's Growth

BJP MP from Belgaum, Jagadish Shettar, praised the budget for establishing Karnataka as one of the core engines of India's growth. He noted that the budget avoids a one-size-fits-all approach, instead directly building on Karnataka's proven strengths in sectors such as electronics, semiconductors, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and aerospace.

Shettar stated, "This budget sends a clear message — under Prime Minister Modi, entire India and Karnataka is a growth engine of Viksit Bharat where innovation meets infrastructure." He underscored how the budget tailors support to regional capabilities, fostering innovation and infrastructure development.

Budget Crafted Amidst Global Turbulence for Long-Term Stability

BJP's Rajahmundry MP, D Purandeswari, remarked that the Kartavya Budget has been presented amidst unique circumstances in an increasingly turbulent world. She explained that the budget serves as a coherent framework emphasizing financial prudence, infrastructure-led growth, and human development.

Purandeswari added, "In such circumstances, the budget prepares India for Viksit Bharat 2047 in a volatile and unpredictable world." This focus aims to ensure resilience and sustainable progress despite global challenges.

NDA Government Committed to Inclusive Empowerment

JD(U)'s Supaul MP, Dileshwar Kamait, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he termed an inclusive budget. He affirmed that the NDA government is committed to empowering the poor, youth, women (nari shakti), and farmers as part of the creation of Viksit Bharat.

Kamait highlighted the budget's role in ensuring broad-based development, aligning with the government's vision for an empowered and prosperous India. This endorsement from an ally underscores the collaborative effort within the ruling coalition to drive national growth.

Overall, the Kartavya Budget 2026 is being celebrated by BJP and its allies as a strategic and historic step towards realizing the Viksit Bharat vision by 2047, with a strong emphasis on regional strengths, global adaptability, and inclusive policies.
