The BJP Hubballi-Dharwad Mahanagar celebrated the party's victories in the Assam, West Bengal, and Puducherry elections by distributing sweets at Durgadbail in Hubballi on Monday. The celebration was led by Deputy Leader of Opposition in the assembly and MLA Arvind Bellad, along with MLA Mahesh Tenginakai. Party workers raised victory slogans, burst crackers, and exchanged sweets to mark the occasion.
Landmark Victory in West Bengal
Speaking to reporters in Hubballi on Monday, Bellad stated that the BJP achieved a landmark victory in West Bengal, which he described as a huge challenge for democracy. "BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has achieved unprecedented victories in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry," he added.
Criticism of Mamata Banerjee Government
MLA Mahesh Tenginakai remarked that the government led by Mamata Banerjee has been involved in corruption for the past 15 years, with no safety for women in the state. "An MP remarked that if the BJP comes to power, they will not survive. Now they will know how the Union BJP Government implements rules. This election has made it clear that only Modi Guarantee won. It is a big victory in West Bengal," he expressed.
Loss in Karnataka Byelections
Bellad also acknowledged that the party was defeated in two bypolls in Karnataka. He alleged that all Congress functionaries, including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and most cabinet members, had taken up residence in the constituency for the election and misused government resources. He stated that the loss would be discussed in the party's meeting.
Attendance at the Event
The celebration was attended by HDMC Mayor Jyothi Patil, Deputy Mayor Santosh Chavan, President Tippanna Majjagi, and other party workers.
