The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party is preparing to hold a significant public meeting, setting its sights on the state as the next electoral battleground following recent successes in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry.
PM Modi's Itinerary
According to party sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will depart from Bengaluru Airport at 1:10 am on Sunday and arrive at Begumpet Airport at 2:20 pm. After landing, at 2:30 pm, he will proceed to a specially arranged stage at the airport to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various government programs, marking the formal start of his engagements in the city.
From Begumpet, the Prime Minister will travel by helicopter to Hitech City. Between 3:45 pm and 4:15 pm, he will inaugurate a private hospital, an event expected to draw attention from local leaders and residents, highlighting Hyderabad's healthcare infrastructure.
At 4:40 pm, Modi will return to Begumpet Airport by helicopter. The schedule includes a window from 4:40 pm to 5:25 pm, after which he will proceed to Parade Ground, arriving at 5:30 pm. During this time, the PM is expected to meet senior leaders, including MLAs and MPs. A party leader stated, "He is expected to give clear directions to us to function like one united unit and win the next elections right from GHMC to assembly."
Political Context
Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender emphasized that the Prime Minister does not differentiate between states, regardless of which party is in power. "Otherwise Telangana would not have many projects from the Centre," he said.
The main public meeting is scheduled from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, with supporters and party workers expected to gather well in advance. The address is likely to focus on development initiatives, ongoing government programs, and the broader vision for Telangana and Hyderabad.
