Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), appeared before a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) panel on Wednesday in connection with the blocking of his X (formerly Twitter) account. The panel summoned him after his account was suspended for allegedly violating platform guidelines.
Dipke Criticizes PM Modi Over Account Suspension
During the hearing, Dipke lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and questioned why his group was being labelled as terrorists for seeking justice for students affected by the NEET paper leak controversy. He argued that the blocking of his account was an attempt to silence dissent and suppress the voice of thousands of affected students.
According to sources, Dipke submitted a written statement to the panel, detailing his grievances and demanding the immediate restoration of his account. He also called for a transparent investigation into the NEET paper leak, which has allegedly impacted over 1.5 million students across the country.
Background of the Controversy
The CJP has been actively protesting the NEET paper leak, which came to light earlier this year. Dipke and his supporters have held multiple rallies, demanding strict action against those responsible and compensation for affected students. The group claims that the leak has compromised the future of thousands of aspiring medical professionals.
The Meity panel, which oversees content regulation on social media platforms, is expected to submit its report on the matter within a week. Dipke has vowed to continue his fight until justice is served, stating, "We will not rest until the students get justice and our voices are heard."
