The man, identified as 35-year-old Ramesh Yadav, a resident of a nearby village, allegedly consumed excessive alcohol before climbing the pole in the Chhota Bazar area around 3 p.m. on Thursday. Eyewitnesses reported that he balanced himself precariously across the live wires, which carry 11,000 volts of electricity, for nearly three hours. Despite the extreme danger, he remained unharmed, reportedly due to the insulating properties of his rubber-soled shoes and the dry weather conditions.
