Late on Saturday night, panic gripped Kutuma village under Ranichuwa panchayat in Hazaribag district after an elephant entered the residential area, prompting immediate action from local authorities. The administration swiftly issued a public alert to ensure community safety as the situation unfolded.

Block Development Officer (BDO) Jaipal Mahto confirmed that information about the elephant's movement was received late Saturday night. Following this, the forest department and other relevant officials were immediately alerted to address the potential threat.
