Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini personally participated in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign of electoral rolls during his visit to Naraingarh on Wednesday. He filled out his enumeration form and submitted it to Booth Level Officer (BLO) Rakesh Kumar at the Naraingarh Rest House.
The CM was in Naraingarh to inaugurate several healthcare projects and dedicate the Amrit Sarovars. After completing his form for Booth No. 129, he handed it over to the BLO.
Saini highlights importance of updated electoral rolls
Speaking on the occasion, Saini described the SIR campaign as a crucial initiative for strengthening democracy. He emphasized that a clean and updated electoral roll is the foundation of a free, fair, and transparent electoral process. The inclusion of every eligible citizen and the removal of ineligible entries further strengthen the democratic system.
The Chief Minister appealed to all eligible voters to fill out their enumeration forms in a timely manner and submit them to their respective BLOs. He urged citizens to extend full cooperation to the SIR campaign.
Active participation key to accurate rolls
Saini stated that active participation by citizens would help make the electoral rolls more accurate and error-free, thereby further strengthening the democratic process. He also appreciated the efforts of BLOs and election officials engaged in the campaign.
The CM directed officials to ensure outreach to every eligible voter so that no deserving voter is left out of the electoral rolls. The SIR campaign aims to update voter lists ahead of upcoming elections.
