India-UAE Pacts: From LPG to Defence Partnership During PM Modi's Visit
India-UAE Key Pacts: LPG, Defence, and More During Modi Visit

India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed seven key agreements during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit, covering areas from liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supply to defence cooperation. The external affairs ministry confirmed the pacts in a statement, highlighting the strengthening of bilateral ties.

Strategic Petroleum Reserves and LPG Supply

A major focus of the visit was energy security. The two nations signed an agreement on strategic petroleum reserves, allowing India to store crude oil in UAE facilities, ensuring supply stability. Additionally, a pact on the supply of liquefied petroleum gas was inked, which will help meet India's growing energy demands.

Defence Partnership

Another significant outcome was a defence cooperation agreement, which includes joint military exercises, intelligence sharing, and technology transfer. This marks a new chapter in India-UAE strategic relations, moving beyond traditional trade ties.
