Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Jagga Reddy met Telangana Congress incharge Meenakshi Natarajan on Saturday to discuss party affairs and share his views. After the meeting, Jagga Reddy told media that it was a courtesy call and not a complaint against anyone. He said, "It was a courtesy call. I expressed my opinion on party activities. If there is any gap between party leaders and the government, it needs to be bridged."
Importance of Unity and Coordination
Reddy emphasized that the next six months to one year would be crucial for the party, requiring greater coordination and unity from the village to state level. He noted that the Congress government has completed two and a half years, making the next two and a half years critical. "There is a need to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and PCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, who have been coordinating party affairs and government activities. If any gap exists between the party and workers, it should be rectified. Important party workers and leaders must be taken into confidence. Differences of opinion are common in Congress and can help the party," he suggested.
Concerns Over Nominated Posts
Regarding nominated posts, Jagga Reddy remarked that while some leaders await recognition from the party, others who received posts have contributed almost nothing, ignoring party workers. He asserted his commitment to speaking up for party workers.
The meeting underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen the Congress party in Telangana, with a focus on unity and addressing internal dynamics ahead of crucial political phases.
