Monkey Gatecrashes Census Training in Gujarat

A monkey unexpectedly walked into a government training session for the upcoming Census 2027 in Gujarat, creating a light-hearted moment for officials. The incident occurred during a workshop for enumerators and supervisors in Vadodara, as they prepared for the first phase of the census, which begins on June 1, 2026.

Training Session Interrupted

The monkey entered the room where staff were being trained on door-to-door house listing procedures. Video footage shared on social media by My Vadodara shows the primate roaming among the attendees, seemingly curious about the proceedings. The officials were seen laughing and recording the event on their phones.

Despite the interruption, the training continued smoothly after the monkey left. The Census of India has not officially commented on the incident, but the video has gone viral on platforms like Twitter.
