The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) on Friday unveiled its revised examination calendar for 2026, detailing schedules for multiple major recruitment drives while leaving the much-anticipated State Services Main Examination (SSE) 2025 in limbo, pending a High Court order.
Revised Schedule for SSE Mains
According to the updated programme, the SSE Mains 2025, originally slated to commence on June 9, 2025, will now be conducted only after directives from the High Court. This uncertainty has left thousands of aspirants anxious for clarity on the revised timeline.
Key Dates for 2026 Examinations
The commission announced that the State Services Main Examination 2026 will take place from September 7 to September 12, 2026. Additionally, the State Forest Service Main Examination 2026 is scheduled for September 27.
Assistant Professor Recruitment Exams
A significant number of Assistant Professor recruitment examinations under the Higher Education Department have been incorporated into the revised calendar. Key dates include:
- July 12, 2026: Sanskrit, Geography, Psychology, Law, Geology, and Yogic Science
- August 2, 2026: Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Hindi, and English
- August 30, 2026: Physics, Chemistry, History, Botany, and Mathematics
Other Departmental Examinations
The commission also set dates for various departmental recruitment exams:
- August 2, 2025: Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Examination
- September 20, 2026: Assistant Town Planner Examination and Specialist Ayurveda Examination
- October 18, 2026: Assistant District Prosecution Officer Examination
Court Stays and Clarifications
Examinations for Ayurveda Medical Officer, Homeopathy Medical Officer, and Unani Medical Officer for 2025 remain stayed due to court orders. MPPSC emphasized that the schedule is tentative and subject to change based on administrative or judicial circumstances. Candidates are advised to verify eligibility conditions carefully before applying, as incorrect information may lead to debarment at any stage.
