Activist Abhijeet Dipke has called on NEET re-exam aspirants to gather at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi after their examination, as part of a protest seeking justice for students who have died by suicide. In a series of posts on social media platform X, Dipke expressed solidarity with the students and urged authorities not to obstruct the peaceful demonstration.
Call to Action After Exam
On June 21, 2026, Dipke tweeted: "Best of luck to all NEET re-exam aspirants. Our best wishes are with you. Join us at Jantar Mantar after your exam ends, we are looking forward to meeting you all!" This message was accompanied by a photo of the activist holding a placard. In a subsequent post, he directly appealed to the police: "I request the police to not stop people from coming at Jantar Mantar. We are not doing anything wrong, we are just seeking justice for the students who committed suicide."
Movement for Student Justice
The protest, which began on June 20, 2026, has been ongoing with a small group of activists holding the fort. Dipke emphasized the need for broader support, tweeting: "I request you all please join us tomorrow morning 9 am at Jantar Mantar. We are holding the fort but without your support this movement won’t be successful."
The NEET re-exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), has been a subject of controversy due to alleged irregularities and the tragic loss of student lives. Dipke's movement aims to draw attention to these issues and demand accountability.
