A pedestrian was killed after a chunk of concrete fell from the terrace parapet wall of a 17-storey building in Mumbai, a civic official said on Friday.

Citing the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the official said a piece of plaster detached from the parapet wall on the top floor of the residential building and struck a passerby on the street below. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
