PM Modi Achieves 30 Million YouTube Subscribers, Sets Global Benchmark
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached a significant milestone by crossing 30 million subscribers on YouTube, further cementing his status as the most-followed world leader on the platform. This achievement underscores his unparalleled digital outreach and influence in the global political landscape.
Dominance Over Global Leaders
Among world leaders, PM Modi holds the highest number of YouTube subscribers, with his count being more than seven times that of former US President Donald Trump. Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who ranks second among global leaders on YouTube, has approximately one-fourth of PM Modi's subscriber base. This gap highlights the Prime Minister's extensive reach and engagement on digital platforms.
Leadership in Indian Political Arena
Within India, PM Modi's YouTube subscriber count is nearly three times that of Rahul Gandhi and more than four times higher than the official channels of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Indian National Congress (INC) individually. This dominance reflects his strong digital presence and connection with the Indian audience.
Recent Social Media Milestones
This YouTube milestone follows PM Modi's earlier achievement of crossing 100 million followers on Instagram, making him the first world leader and politician to reach that mark on the Meta-owned platform. Having joined Instagram in 2014, he now has more than twice the followers of Donald Trump, who stands second with 43.2 million followers.
Other global leaders on Instagram include Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto with 15 million followers, Brazil's president with 14.4 million, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with 11.6 million, and Argentine President Javier Milei with 6.4 million. In India, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath holds the second position with around 16.1 million followers, followed by Rahul Gandhi with approximately 12.6 million.
Presence on X Platform
According to data compiled by Statista, PM Modi has around 106.3 million followers on X. The platform's most-followed accounts are dominated by political leaders, celebrities, and business figures, with Elon Musk leading at 235.3 million followers, followed by former US President Barack Obama with 119.1 million, and US President Donald Trump with 110.1 million.
Implications of Digital Influence
PM Modi's growing subscriber base on YouTube and other social media platforms demonstrates the increasing importance of digital communication in modern politics. His ability to engage with millions of followers worldwide sets a new standard for political outreach and public engagement in the digital age.
As social media continues to evolve as a key tool for political messaging and connection, PM Modi's achievements highlight the potential for leaders to build global influence through strategic digital presence. This trend is likely to shape future political campaigns and public discourse across the world.
