Rajasthan Woman Dies, 31 Hurt in Haridwar Bus Overturn

A tragic accident occurred in Haridwar on Monday morning when a private bus carrying pilgrims overturned, resulting in the death of a 50-year-old woman and injuries to 31 others. The deceased has been identified as Pushpa Kanwar, a resident of Nagaur city in Rajasthan.

Details of the Accident

The incident took place around 7 am in the Saptarishi area of Haridwar. According to Kundan Singh Rana, Station House Officer (SHO) of the city police station, the bus driver was attempting to merge onto the Haridwar-Delhi highway from the service lane when another vehicle struck the bus, causing it to overturn.

Response and Medical Aid

Immediately after the accident, the injured were rushed to the district hospital for treatment. Sadly, Pushpa Kanwar succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment. The remaining 31 injured individuals have been treated, and authorities have confirmed that all are now out of danger.
