Sunam MC Unanimously Elects Manpreet Bansal as President

In a unanimous decision, AAP-backed candidates were elected to the top posts of the Sunam Municipal Council on Wednesday, with Manpreet Bansal assuming the role of president. Yadwinder Singh Nirman was elected senior vice-president, and Meena Rani was elected vice-president. The elections took place in the presence of Punjab AAP president Aman Arora.

Unanimous Election Highlights Unity

The elections were conducted without any contest, reflecting a consensus among the council members. Arora congratulated the newly elected office-bearers, emphasizing that the responsibility offers an opportunity to serve the people and contribute to the city's development. He expressed confidence that the new team and councillors would work together to advance development projects in Sunam.

Arora reiterated that the Punjab Government would extend every possible support for the city's development and ensure transparency in project execution. He stated that corruption would not be tolerated and that strict action would be taken if any such case comes to light.

Priorities: Development and Public Welfare

Speaking after his election, Bansal said he would work with honesty and dedication to meet public expectations, with development and public welfare as his top priorities. Nirman pledged to contribute wholeheartedly to the city's development in a spirit of teamwork, aiming to transform Sunam into a model city. Meena Rani said she would focus on cleanliness, basic amenities, women's welfare, and overall development.

SDM Gagandeep Singh, Executive Officer Bal Krishan, councillors, AAP office-bearers, and residents were present on the occasion.
