UP Speaker Mahana Urges Youth to Uphold Constitution

Lucknow: Speaker Satish Mahana on Friday stated that all citizens are bound by the Constitution of India, which serves as a guiding framework for the nation. Speaking at the state-level "Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad," Mahana highlighted that the government aims to prepare the youth to shape the country's future.

Three-Day Youth Parliament Inaugurated

The three-day state-level Youth Parliament, running from May 1 to 3, has brought together 375 selected participants from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The event was inaugurated by Mahana. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Sports and Youth Welfare Girish Yadav, and MLAs including Dr. Surabhi, Neeraj Bora, and Shashank Verma, along with several officials, were present on the occasion.

Mahana's Address: Constitution and AI

Mahana emphasized that the youth will determine the nation's direction in the coming years. He urged them to seriously reflect on the future structure of the country and said it is the responsibility of governments to ensure development pathways and address challenges for upcoming generations. Expressing concern over the growing influence of technology, he cautioned that artificial intelligence (AI) should be used for constructive purposes. He called on young participants to use their knowledge wisely, manage time effectively, and work consistently to build a strong future.

Pathak's Remarks: Youth as Backbone

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak described youth as the backbone of the nation and said they possess immense potential. He encouraged them to take calculated risks and move forward with humility and a positive mindset. The event also featured addresses from other dignitaries who underscored the importance of youth participation in nation-building.

The Youth Parliament aims to provide a platform for young leaders to discuss and deliberate on key issues affecting the state and the country. Participants will engage in debates and discussions, honing their skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and policy analysis. The initiative is part of the broader Viksit Bharat vision to empower the next generation of leaders.
