Filmmaker Praises CM's Grassroots Efforts
Following the meeting, Vinod Chaudhary expressed admiration for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's comprehensive and concrete work on cow protection at the grassroots level. Chaudhary noted that these efforts were a key inspiration for the filmmaking team to seek the CM's insights and support.
Rapid Action Against Cow Smuggling
Chaudhary highlighted that soon after Yogi Adityanath assumed office as Chief Minister, rapid and stringent actions were initiated against cow smugglers across Uttar Pradesh. This led to large-scale arrests, demonstrating the government's firm stance on protecting cattle.
Expansion of Cow Shelters and Protection
Over the past nine years, the state has established more than 7,500 cow shelters, providing refuge to over 12 lakh destitute cattle. This extensive network underscores the CM's affection for cattle and his unwavering commitment to cow conservation.
Formation of District-Level Committees
To further strengthen cow service and conservation, the Uttar Pradesh government has formed cow protection committees in every district. District Magistrates and Senior Superintendents of Police have been appointed as nodal officers to oversee these initiatives, ensuring effective implementation at the local level.
