Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched several labour welfare, healthcare and education initiatives during the 'Shramveer Gaurav Samaroh 2026' at an official programme to mark Labour Day.
Labour facility centres and healthcare boost
As part of the initiative, Yogi laid the foundation stone for labour facility centres across multiple sectors in Greater Noida. These centres are aimed at providing workers with access to essential welfare services, support systems and government schemes under one roof. In a significant healthcare boost, the chief minister also facilitated the land allotment process for a 300-bed Employees' State Insurance Corporation hospital in Greater Noida. Spread across 7.2 acres, the proposed hospital is expected to enhance healthcare access for industrial and construction workers and their families in western Uttar Pradesh.
Education initiatives and recognition
The CM also laid the foundation stone for a CM Composite School in Jewar, aimed at expanding quality educational opportunities for children in the fast-developing region. Highlighting the government's broader labour welfare agenda, Yogi said the projects are designed to improve living standards, social security and future opportunities for workers and their families. The event also recognised academic excellence among students of Atal Residential Schools, with meritorious Class 10 students receiving tablets for outstanding performance. Principals of Prayagraj and Varanasi schools were honoured after both institutions recorded 100% results in their first CBSE Class 10 batch.
