Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Ojasvi Alankar conducted field inspections on Tuesday, reviewing various areas under Zone C of the civic body as part of pre-monsoon preparedness. The inspections focused on cleanliness arrangements, cleaning of road gullies, and removal of rubble from roadsides.
Key Areas Inspected
The commissioner visited Dholewal Chowk, Prabhat Nagar, Vishwakarma Colony, and areas around Vishwakarma Chowk, among others. Zonal Commissioner Gurpal Singh, Health Officer Dr Vipal Malhotra, CSI Rajinder Kumar, and CSI Gurinder Singh accompanied him during the inspections.
Pre-Monsoon Preparations
Alankar emphasized that preparations are being made in advance for the monsoon. He directed officials to ensure cleaning of sewer lines and road gullies, and to ensure that no manhole remains uncovered during the rainy season. The inspections are part of a series of field visits to monitor civic infrastructure and services ahead of the monsoon.
