The Karnataka State Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission is fully committed to addressing the grievances of the community, said chairman Murthy during a recent interaction. He highlighted that 150 cases from Mysuru district have been registered with the commission, out of which 48 are currently sub-judice.
Commission's Efforts in Mysuru
Murthy, speaking to reporters, emphasized the commission's proactive approach in resolving pending issues. He noted that the commission has been working closely with district authorities to ensure timely redressal of complaints.
Case Status and Statistics
Of the 150 registered cases, 48 are pending in courts, while the remaining have been resolved or are under investigation. The commission aims to expedite the disposal of all cases through continuous monitoring.
Murthy urged community members to approach the commission with confidence, assuring them of fair treatment. He also called for greater awareness about the commission's functions among the public.
The chairman reiterated the importance of constitutional safeguards for SC/ST communities and vowed to uphold their rights. The commission plans to hold regular camps in Mysuru to address grievances at the grassroots level.
