Chatra Drug Bust: Two Arrested, One on the Run

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Chatra police arrested two alleged drug peddlers with a substantial quantity of opium from a forested area near Gothai village on Saturday. The seized contraband, weighing 1.11 kilograms, is estimated to be worth around Rs 6 lakh in the illicit market.

The accused have been identified as Raju Ganjhu and Ramdev Ganjhu, both residents of Jalma village under the jurisdiction of Lawalong police station. According to officials, a third suspect, Sarfaraz Khan, managed to evade capture and is currently at large.
