This strong rebuttal from the BJP comes in response to serious claims made by the MLA from Sivasagar. Akhil Gogoi had recently alleged that the ruling party in Assam is involved in a plot to remove the names of voters who are opposed to the BJP from the electoral registers ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. He specifically claimed that this strategy involves targeting around 10,000 voters per constituency in approximately 60 areas.
Dismissing these charges as entirely fabricated, BJP spokesperson Kamal Kumar Medhi led the counter-offensive. "He first creates an imaginary story within his own mind and then narrates it repeatedly before the public," Medhi remarked.
