Speaking at the inauguration of the renovated Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan in Kukkedi, located within Belthangady taluk, Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao highlighted the state government's release of Rs 3 crore specifically for the construction of this facility. He emphasized that Dr Ambedkar's legacy in empowering marginalized communities remains indelible and serves as a guiding principle for the administration.
Critique of Political Opportunism in the Name of Religion
During his address, the minister did not shy away from addressing contemporary political dynamics. He pointed out that certain elements are engaging in politics under the guise of religion, lacking any genuine commitment to progressive ideals or the reservation system. On the delay in constructing the taluk Ambedkar Bhavan, Rao acknowledged that despite the release of Rs 3 crore, work had stalled due to differing views with the local MLA. "There is a need to discuss the issue with the MLA at the earliest and ensure that the work begins soon, so that the sanctioned funds are not diverted elsewhere," he stressed, emphasizing the urgency of resolving bureaucratic hurdles to fulfill developmental promises.
