Floral Tribute at Rajiv Bhawan
The Delhi Congress paid homage to former Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Shiv Charan Gupta on his 16th death anniversary during a ceremony at Rajiv Bhawan on Sunday. DPCC president Devender Yadav led the tribute, stating that Gupta's contributions to the party and society would always be remembered. Gupta's Political Legacy
Shiv Charan Gupta served as the president of the DPCC and had a long political career. He represented the Delhi Sadar constituency in the Third Lok Sabha from 1962 to 1967, highlighting his early impact on national politics. Additionally, Gupta served as a member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly and as a deputy minister in the Delhi government. His tenure also included chairmanship of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi from 1958 to 1962, underscoring his dedication to local governance.

Several prominent Congress figures attended the ceremony, including former minister Kiran Walia, former MLAs Anil Bhardwaj and Ishraq Khan, and Delhi Mahila Congress president Pushpa Singh. District presidents and other party functionaries were also present. Yadav, in his address, recalled Gupta's unwavering commitment to the Congress ideology throughout his political journey.

Yadav emphasized that Gupta consistently championed issues affecting the weaker and underprivileged sections of society. According to Yadav, carrying forward Gupta's ideals and legacy would be the true tribute to the late leader.
