From Stone-Pelting to Gunfire: The Escalation

The clash reportedly began with stone-pelting and physical assaults between rival groups before escalating dramatically into an exchange of gunfire. According to local residents, the mine had been shut down for the past two years, and its recent reopening acted as the trigger for the deadly confrontation.

Superintendent of Police Bimal Kumar has taken note of the serious incident and has instructed Khori Mahua Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rajendra Prasad to lead the probe into the case. "We are in the process of verifying the precise cause of the violence," stated SDPO Prasad.

Police Response and Confirmed Death

SDPO Prasad confirmed that a dispute between two parties regarding the mining rights was ongoing. "A physical scuffle broke out on Tuesday morning, and we have also received reports of gunfire being exchanged. A thorough investigation is currently being conducted to ascertain all facts," he added.

Tragically, Suresh, a resident of Chachghara in Jamua who sustained injuries during the shooting, has succumbed to his wounds. The death was officially confirmed by Jamua police station officer Manikant.

Officer Manikant reported that he rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident. His prompt arrival and subsequent actions helped bring the volatile situation under control. "Further legal action is now underway," he stated, indicating that the police are pursuing the case actively.
