Governor praises visionary leadership

Governor Kavinder Gupta described Virbhadra Singh's contribution as "incomparable" in the creation and development of modern Himachal Pradesh. "As a result of his visionary thinking, strong leadership and public welfare policies, Himachal has today established itself as one of the leading states in the country in various areas of development," the Governor said.

He added that Singh's long and successful tenure as Chief Minister steered the state in a new direction. "His public life, leadership and commitment to public service are an inspiration to all. A true tribute to him will be to imbibe his ideals in our own lives," Gupta remarked.

Speaker Pathania recalls 22-year tenure

Speaker Kuldeep Pathania noted that Himachal was fortunate to have Virbhadra Singh lead the state for 22 years. The extended period of leadership allowed Singh to implement long-term policies that shaped the state's infrastructure, education, and social welfare systems.

Boxing event marks anniversary

To mark the birth anniversary, a boxing event was held at the Ridge in Shimla on Tuesday evening. The sporting competition drew participants from across the region, reflecting the late leader's support for sports and youth development during his time in office.
