Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Aims to Finalize Organizational Structure by February End
Shimla: In a significant move to bolster its organizational framework, the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) has set an ambitious timeline to finalize its state, district, and block-level committees by the end of February. HPCC President and Shri Renukaji MLA, Vinay Kumar, made this announcement on Saturday, revealing that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has scheduled a crucial meeting in Delhi on February 10.
High-Level AICC Meeting to Discuss Finalized State Committee
Kumar stated that the upcoming AICC meeting will be attended by a comprehensive delegation from Himachal Pradesh. This includes all district presidents from the state, the state party in-charge, and senior HP Congress leaders, notably Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. The primary agenda of this gathering is to conduct detailed discussions regarding the formation of the party's state committee, which has already been finalized and submitted to the party high command.
"The announcement of the committee depends entirely on the high command's decision," Kumar emphasized, highlighting the centralized approval process within the Congress party's hierarchy.
Structured Process for District and Block-Level Appointments
In addition to the state committee, Kumar disclosed that the party's state unit has been assigned a target to submit names for district and block-level committees. He expressed confidence in meeting this objective efficiently, citing a well-organized process already in place.
"Our district presidents will hand over the names within the next one or two days. We have a structured process in place to complete the exercise efficiently," added the HPCC chief.
Grassroots Strengthening Initiative
Kumar further elaborated that the initiative is designed to reinforce the organizational structure at the grassroots level. He projected that by the end of February, all district-level office-bearers and block presidents would be finalized, with the complete list subsequently submitted to the high command for final endorsement.
This strategic move underscores the Congress party's focus on strengthening its base in Himachal Pradesh, ensuring a robust and responsive organizational framework ahead of future political engagements.
