Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj Party, has announced that the party will contest the upcoming by-election for the assembly seat vacated by Nitin Nabin. Expressing confidence in the party's prospects, Kishor stated that Jan Suraaj Party has the potential to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the bypoll.
Confidence in Victory
Speaking to the media, Kishor said, 'We are fully prepared to contest the bypoll and we are confident that the people will support us. The BJP has failed to deliver on its promises, and the Jan Suraaj Party offers a credible alternative.' He further added that the party's grassroots connect and development agenda would resonate with voters.
Denial of Rift with Uday Singh
Kishor also dismissed rumors of a rift with Uday Singh, the national president of Jan Suraaj Party. He clarified that his recent move from Singh's residence to an ashram was a personal decision and not indicative of any discord. 'Uday Singh is a respected leader and we work together as a team. There is no truth to the speculation of a split,' Kishor emphasized.
The bypoll is seen as a crucial test for both the ruling party and the opposition in Bihar. Observers believe that a strong performance by Jan Suraaj Party could reshape the political landscape in the state. Kishor urged party workers to campaign diligently and focus on issues such as employment, education, and healthcare.
The Election Commission is yet to announce the date for the bypoll, but political parties have already begun preparations. Jan Suraaj Party, which has been gaining traction in recent months, aims to leverage this bypoll to establish itself as a major political force in Bihar.
