Karnataka BJP MP Ramesh Jigajinagi has sparked a controversy by questioning why Dalits should be concerned about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Speaking to the media, he said, 'Why should a Dalit be concerned about RSS? The RSS works for the nation's unity and has always stood for the upliftment of all communities.'
Attack on Congress Chief Kharge
Jigajinagi also launched a scathing attack on Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. He alleged that Kharge was given the home portfolio in the Karnataka government only because his father had worked for the Congress party. 'Kharge's rise is not due to merit but due to his family's long association with the Congress,' the MP claimed.

The statements have drawn sharp reactions from the Congress party, which accused the BJP MP of divisive politics. Congress spokesperson said, 'Such comments reflect the BJP's disrespect towards Dalit leaders and their contributions.'
Jigajinagi, a senior BJP leader from Karnataka, has been known for his strong views on national issues. The RSS, often seen as the ideological parent of the BJP, has been a subject of debate in Indian politics.
