Kolkata Man Dies of Heart Attack After Family Gets Election Commission Notices
A 62-year-old man from Namkhana in Kolkata died of a heart attack. This happened hours after the Election Commission issued hearing notices to eleven members of his family. The man was Sheikh Abdul Aziz.
His family members said he felt very anxious about the hearing. The Election Commission summoned his three sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Aziz spent days searching for documents because he was scared.
Family Blames Stress from Notices
Relatives stated that Aziz discussed the matter with some acquaintances on Friday night. He broke down at a local market and cried all the way home. Soon after reaching home, Aziz complained of illness.
His family rushed him to a hospital. Doctors declared him dead there. The family alleged that Aziz was a long-time resident of the area. They said the stress caused by the notice contributed to his death.
No Police Complaint Filed
Police sources confirmed that no complaint was filed in connection with the death. The incident highlights concerns about the impact of such legal notices on individuals.
This case raises questions about the emotional toll of official procedures. Families often face immense pressure during such times.
