Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao dared Telangana housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy to stand on his promise that he would seek votes in the next elections only after constructing 20 lakh Indiramma houses. He said half of his term was already over and asked whether he had built 10 lakh houses and of them how many were given to the SC, ST, BCs and minorities.
Allegations at BRS Workers Meeting
Speaking at the BRS workers meeting at Palair assembly constituency in Khammam district on Wednesday, KTR made several allegations against ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageshwara Rao and deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka. He said that the Congress government, instead of building new Indiramma houses, has bulldozed hundreds of houses and huts in Velugumatla village.
Land Tax and Borrowings
KTR claimed that the BRS government had removed agriculture land tax for agricultural lands, but the Congress government is now planning to reintroduce it. He added that the BRS government had spent every single rupee it borrowed on development projects and welfare, and alleged the Congress government used the amount for scams. He demanded the Congress government release a white paper on the amount spent on projects from the borrowings.
