KTR Urges Voters to Reject Congress, BJP in Telangana Municipal Polls
KTR: Voting for Congress Endorses Anti-People Policies

BRS Leader KT Rama Rao Calls for Electoral Lesson Against Congress and BJP

In a series of campaign events across Telangana, BRS working president KT Rama Rao delivered a sharp critique of both the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP, urging voters to support his party in the upcoming municipal elections. Speaking during roadshows and corner meetings in Sircilla and Vemulawada on Friday, the former minister framed the polls as a crucial opportunity for citizens to hold the Congress government accountable.

Congress Accused of Deceiving People and Breaking Promises

KTR asserted that voting for the Congress would amount to endorsing what he described as anti-people policies implemented by the current administration. He highlighted the government's failure to deliver on six key guarantees made during the assembly elections, calling this a betrayal of public trust. "If the Congress is not stopped now, it will further oppress the people," he warned, criticizing the party for what he termed a reputation tarnished by corruption, illegal activities, and scams.

He specifically pointed to the cancellation of Bathukamma saree production, which he said insulted weavers and damaged their livelihoods. KTR urged voters to respond strongly at the ballot box against Congress leaders who made derogatory remarks about weavers. He also alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had threatened to remove Sircilla district, warning that supporting Congress could endanger the district's existence.

BJP Dismissed as Ineffective and Opportunistic

Turning his attention to the BJP, KTR dismissed voting for the saffron party as equivalent to wasting a valuable vote. He mocked the BJP for appearing only during election seasons and then disappearing after gaining power through what he characterized as caste and religious vote-bank politics. He criticized Union Minister Bandi Sanjay for achieving nothing for the erstwhile Karimnagar district or Telangana.

KTR pointed out that despite being in power at the center for 12 years, the BJP government had not allocated a single additional rupee to Telangana. He questioned their capability to bring the much-needed mega power loom cluster to Sircilla, accusing the party of limiting itself to divisive caste and religious politics rather than addressing development issues.

Appeal for BRS Support Based on Track Record

The BRS leader contrasted his party's governance with what he portrayed as the failures of both Congress and BJP. He accused the Congress government under Revanth Reddy of deceiving all sections of society, including minorities, SCs, STs, and BCs, by promising large budget allocations but not releasing funds. KTR urged people not to fall for small monetary inducements offered by Congress and instead ensure a massive victory for BRS.

"Every vote against Congress in these polls should serve as a lesson for deceiving the people," KTR declared, positioning the municipal elections as a referendum on the current administration's performance. He called for a strong electoral response to hold Congress accountable and prevent further oppression, while dismissing the BJP as an ineffective alternative.
