In a significant spiritual visit, Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti offered prayers at the renowned Hosamarigudi Temple in Kaup, Udupi district, on Wednesday. The veteran leader was warmly received and felicitated by the temple's management and development committees, marking a day of deep personal and religious importance.

Interacting with the media after his darshan, Basavaraj Horatti described the experience as one of the most pivotal moments of his life. He expressed that the opportunity to visit a temple with such a rich historical legacy was a result of merit earned from a previous birth. "This is one of the greatest days of my life," Horatti stated. He emphasized the invaluable sense of tranquility he gained, remarking, "The sense of mental peace I experienced here cannot be bought even with crores of rupees."
The visit included prayers to the principal deities, Sri Mariyamma Devi and Uchhangi. Chief priest Vedamurthy Srinivasa Tantri Kalya performed the rituals and offered prasad and blessings on behalf of the deity to the distinguished guest.
