Man stabbed to death in Kochi over modified bike dispute

A 31-year-old man was fatally stabbed by a three-member gang in Kochi's Palluruthy area on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Shijoy, a resident of Palluruthy. The incident took place at Karma Lane between 8.30pm and 8.45pm.

Accused identified

Police have identified the accused as Jenson, Jobi, and Hareesh, all natives of Palluruthy. One of the accused, Jenson, was arrested on Sunday, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining two suspects.

Motive under investigation

According to police sources, preliminary investigations suggest that an argument over a modified bike owned by Jenson triggered the attack. However, authorities are also probing whether previous enmity or other motives played a role. Sources indicate that Jenson may have inflicted the fatal stab wound, with the other two present at the scene during the crime.
