The deceased has been identified as K Soundarrajan, a 26-year-old resident of Kunnathur Saminathapuram. He was riding the two-wheeler at the time of the accident. The injured person is M Kavin, aged 22, from Chinna Kavundampalayam, who was traveling as a pillion rider. The duo was en route from Paramathi Vellore to Jedarpalayam when the mishap occurred.

According to an officer from the Jedarpalayam police station, Soundarrajan sustained a severe chest injury and succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Kavin suffered a leg fracture and was promptly admitted to the government hospital in Paramathi Velur for medical treatment.
