Punjabi Stage Performer Aman Sahota in Critical Condition After Brutal Attack

In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, renowned Punjabi stage performer and devotional singer Aman Sahota is battling for his life after being brutally attacked by a masked gang in Ludhiana's Ambedkar Nagar area on Tuesday evening.

Violent Ambush Outside Local Shop

The horrific attack occurred when Sahota, a resident of Himmat Singh Nagar, was standing outside a local shop on personal business. According to eyewitness accounts, a group of unidentified assailants wearing masks suddenly ambushed the singer without any warning or provocation.

The attackers reportedly used sharp-edged weapons to inflict multiple deep wounds on Sahota's body, including what medical professionals suspect to be a serious skull fracture. The violent assault was so severe that the assailants fled the scene immediately after completing their brutal attack, leaving the singer bleeding profusely on the ground.

Emergency Medical Transfer to Chandigarh

Sahota's friends, who rushed to the scene upon hearing about the attack, immediately transported him to Ludhiana Civil Hospital for emergency treatment. However, the extent of his injuries proved too severe for the local facility to handle.

"The doctors at Civil Hospital examined him and said his injuries were critical," explained Arsh Kumar, a close friend of the singer. "They immediately referred him to PGIMER in Chandigarh for emergency surgery. He has suffered massive head trauma and needs specialized neurosurgical care."

The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh is one of North India's premier medical institutions, known for handling complex trauma cases requiring advanced surgical intervention.

Police Investigation Underway

Model Town police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the brutal attack. Authorities have cordoned off the crime scene in Ambedkar Nagar and are meticulously scanning CCTV footage from nearby shops and establishments to identify the masked assailants.

Inspector Jaswinder Singh, the Station House Officer at Model Town police station, confirmed that while the attackers remain unidentified as of Wednesday morning, security has been significantly increased in both the Dugri and Ambedkar Nagar areas.

"We are taking all necessary precautions to prevent any retaliatory violence between local groups," Inspector Singh stated. "A formal First Information Report is being processed, though the recording of the victim's official statement has been delayed due to his critical medical condition."

Mystery Surrounds Attack Motive

The motive behind the vicious attack on the popular devotional singer remains completely unknown. Sahota, who is widely respected for his stage performances and recorded hymns, had no known enemies according to his friends and family members.

"He was just standing there when they attacked him without warning," recalled friend Arsh Kumar, describing the terrifying moments. "By the time we reached the spot, the attackers had vanished completely. We cannot understand why anyone would want to harm such a peaceful person who brings joy through his music."

The local artistic community has expressed deep concern and outrage over the attack, with many calling for swift justice and enhanced security for performers in the region.
