Rajasthan Ministers Launch Unity March in Kota

In a significant move to promote social harmony and commemorate national icons, Rajasthan ministers Kirori Lal Meena and Madan Dilawar flagged off a three-day 'Jaago Jagaao Ekta Padyatra' from Julmi village in the Ramganjmandi constituency on Monday.

March Objectives and Historical Significance

The 40-45 kilometer foot march, organized by Education Minister Madan Dilawar, will cover approximately 20-22 villages across the region. This initiative holds special importance as it marks three significant occasions: the 150th anniversary of the national song 'Vande Mataram', the birth anniversary of India's Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and the birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda.

Beyond the commemorative aspects, the padyatra serves multiple purposes including raising awareness about Rajasthan's new anti-conversion law, promoting sanitation practices, advocating for de-addiction, encouraging healthy living, and providing a platform for immediate resolution of public grievances.

Symbolic Gestures and Social Harmony

Before commencing the march, Minister Dilawar and his wife performed traditional puja at the Patli River ghat in Julmi gram panchayat. In a powerful demonstration of social unity, both ministers honored sanitation workers, laborers, farmers, and members of the Scheduled Caste community by washing their feet and felicitating them.

The ministers further emphasized environmental consciousness by planting saplings on the riverbank, symbolizing their commitment to ecological preservation alongside social development.

Policy Discussions and Political Statements

During his address to the gathering, Dr. Kirori Lal Meena made a significant appeal to Minister Dilawar regarding transparent transfer policies for education department employees. Dilawar responded positively, confirming that the teachers' transfer policy has already been drafted and will soon be presented before the state cabinet for approval.

"There should be a clear and transparent transfer policy for all state government employees, just like at the Centre, so that neither the government nor ministers waste time on transfer matters," emphasized Dr. Meena during his speech.

The minister also took the opportunity to criticize the Congress party for what he described as historically sidelining Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's contributions to unifying princely states, ignoring Birsa Munda's legacy, and making changes to the original text of 'Vande Mataram'.

River Revival Project

In a notable environmental achievement, Minister Dilawar highlighted the successful revival of the Patli River, which had completely dried up years ago. After learning about the river's historical significance, Dilawar directed officials and party workers to undertake restoration efforts.

The revived river, which originates in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh and joins the Ahu River in Rajasthan, will now provide irrigation water to 32 villages in the region, marking a significant boost to agricultural prospects and water security for local communities.

The three-day march represents a comprehensive approach to public engagement, combining historical remembrance with contemporary social and environmental initiatives aimed at fostering unity and development in the region.
